Just an excuse to paint the stunning Liv Tyler. I hadn't done that yet, which is a huge fail if you ask me, and I saw her recently again in the movie Armageddon, so it was about the right time. It's actually better than painting someone unknown, as movie stars aren't bothered by being the inspiration for art, but are very suitable for it, often.
More fun for an artist like me. And this one worked out well, I think.
Surprising someone who didn't expect anything, with their portrait, just because I saw something inspiring (no, I don't mean noode assets) can be very rewarding as well. I did it many times in the past and most of the time it did work out well and it made someone happy, but sometimes it just got complicated, which always meant me changing the character immediately to someone imaginary, because who needs that after all the hours spent on making it right. Changing it only takes minutes but it's annoying enough to (almost) entirely cure me of the incentive to paint the unknown beauty.

Breathtaking! She is so lovely, and was spectacular as Arwen. As for actresses, I know I’ll always treasure the commission you did for me of the lovely Gabrielle Drake as Lt. Gay Ellis from U.F.O.. That was amazing.
