Even though the sketch is from a while back I rendered this with a new Photoshop version and totally new brushes. It works. It has advantages to my old setup actually, but I was quite at home there, so it takes time to adjust. However, I started working digitally in 1994 or so, when Mac was still as slow as syrup, so I'm used to things changing, working with improvements that weren't really improving anything, and tools stuck somewhere where one has to send search parties to find them, all of a sudden.

When getting things back on track I found out that large companies like Adobe don't really have good and comprehensive websites when you just need the stuff fitting your machine. They are good in selling a whole lot, but customer support is less of a priority and...well...navigating proved to be a challenge. It would've been too simple to just put a chatbox somewhere in sight to speak to an agent. After hours I found that though, with a helpful agent that knew his job, at that, and it made me realize that backing up everything with a passion would've been so much better. So...doing that now, twice :)

I backed up a lot (december was a large backup run), but not the complete setup, not some very interesting stuff I was recently working on. I trusted Apple too much. So I lost a lot as well. Nevermind. I'll make some new. Perhaps even better because all the tools have changed. That' what I'm going for!
