The day before yesterday I was watching a, not so good, movie on Netflix, but Sofia Vergara was in it (with Reese Witherspoon, so you might guess what the movie was?) and if I see her I want to paint her. Not even consciously but always. Some do have that effect on me.

Are there personalities that make you stop in your tracks?   She's just magnificent and worth a little break in the witches' streak I was on.  I couldn't finish the painting over the movie of course, but the portrait of Sofia did go pretty well, even without the actual reference I'd prefer to work with. She does look a bit younger than she is but it's not a commission, so, I don't have to be really exact or current and I did work from moving pictures.   I added the fainting artist later and the wiggly lines on the canvas indicating a serious circulation breakdown and guess what; I noticed it says "Men" when I came back in my studio and it was still on screen. That is honestly completely unintentional but very funny to me 😁

I did however add the version without that funniness as well, for those that prefer a more mellow scene 😁

Well I love the physique of Sofia, well worth the time you spend on her .... thanks. I stop for Pamela Alexandra, Ashley Alexis, but also in the movie scene Emilia Clarke, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Lawrence

I know exactly how you feel, Frans. Why? Two words: Salma Hayek.

You can't now not draw her Modern Family co-star Ariel Winter. Even more curves. Or just all the MF girls?

I hear ya. I actually painted Salma already (twice) but I saw an interview with her where she said she cried doing that nude scene in Desperados (and after) and that completely ruined it for me😔

Oh my lord….I’d faint too! Sofia is a stunner, but, as old as she is, Elvira still does it for me. Love her corny sense of humor, as well as her amazing figure.
