I like this kind of picture, just because of the contrast between raw power and elegance. Every now and again I'll do one, just for the heck of it.

In this case it was inspired by a model's selfie on Instagram, but when she didn't respond in reasonable time to my DM message showing it to her, I changed it to someone imaginary. Okay by me, as it wasn't a literal depiction anyway. I just loosely based it on that selfie. It has happened before, be it not too often luckily. It's one of the reasons why I don't paint portraits of unknown people much anymore though. Even though it's not that much extra work to change it, it's still extra work and revisiting something I thought was finished.

It turned out later that she's not the texting type and would've loved it if I would've posted the original version. But I can't do that, when communication has failed for whatever reason. It just doesn't feel right anymore.

Why I do that kind of thing in the first place? Actually because I like to stay spontaneous, not care about what people think, make someone happy unexpectedly with what I do best and just let inspiration hit without thinking about money. Doesn't always work out like I intended, but that doesn't really matter. My intentions were good.
