If you ask me, this is much much better than the previous rollerblading Pirate I posted. Somehow it worked out well, even though I didn't make an official sketch first. I started with rough color shapes and then it all just came together, almost by itself. This is a much better visualisation of what I saw in real life, many many years ago (see previous version for that story). Obviously it made an impression as this is the third version already of it.
This is how it should've been painted right away but honestly, skating humans are way more difficult to paint than walking  ones. Balance and gravity elements make the anatomy of the action so much different and I don't like to use reference material. I'd like it to naturally evolve from imagination.
I did try to find something that would help me a bit, but I could not find it. So, from what I did find, I studied the movement itself, to be able to make this convincing enough. Like; how do the arms and legs move when skating and then trying to translate it to a frontal pose and this beauty.
Ha, even though it's not halloween themed, it could have been a costume, right? But I met her in the middle of summer :D The topless version for Patrons wasn't really necessary but, well, I don't see any harm in it :D
