As a blackjack since the beginning, I'm really happy with how she finished Alpha. It is very CL and I love that she stayed with her true style rather than adjusting the album to what the general public prefers music these days. Thanks for always supporting CL. 💕

Yeah as someone who's followed CL from pre-debut days I do feel like this album is a culmination of all her different styles but it's all been leveled up by virtue of her having so much experience now and having also gone through a lot of crap to make her the artist she is. I agree with what you're saying the songs that have been released up until now are the best I'd say my favorite of the true b-sides are paradise and siren but I think it makes a big difference when you listen to the album holistically so that might have thrown you off. I think the quality of the album really shines when you listen to all the tracks and realize that (imo) almost all of them are at such a high quality. So I kind of see it as the b-sides with music videos really got their due. I'm both satisfied with this album and want another one right away. 🤣 Btw if you want more singing from CL her 2019 project in the name of Love has a lot of vocal heavy songs

So I haven't listened to HWA in some time and I'm now realizing that the main chorus is her chanting "mugunghwa kkoci pieot seumnida" (the rose of Sharon has bloomed) which is the phrase used in the Korean version of Red light Green light which is now blown up because of squid game just so funny how a phrase can mean nothing to you when you first hear it and now I recognized it immediately.

I love 2ne1 and CL and I really wanted to love this album but something just felt missing. Even the songs I liked don't have much replay value for me for some reason. I think the one that has stood the test of time for me has been 5 Star. Siren was cool too, gave me kung fu panda vibes with the strings. But I feel like a lot of the songs didn't build up to anything at the end. CL still mad cool tho. I might change my mind about some songs if I saw some performances since she's just that powerful

I actually love this album so soooo much! You should listen to it straight, not by sections, it makes the listening experience way better and it actually makes you appreciate the songs more. I also love the way it kinda flows. I do agree, that the songs that have videos are a bit more energetic. I wanna see CL live badly, I hope you had fun at the concert. Alsoo, my top 3 songs from this album are: Lover Like Me, Xai and Tie a Cherry.
