If you ever watch more historical dramas you’ll see the same thing. The importance of being in high ranks. It’s only when your in a high rank especially royalty that anything you do or say matters enough that people listen to you. You have the peasants who are the labor working class and are barely surviving, you have government soldiers and middle class government officials like the lord that has gonorrhea, the nobles (there different categories of nobility depending on the clan you are from) and you have royalty. The reason they bow down all the way to the floor is a sign of respect so they really only bow down that way to royalty(there’s also ranks within royalty). Rank mattered A LOT during that time.

Man the people in this show are frustrating me. But even if we had a zombie apocalypse today the same thing would happen even if we could beat it by all working together people will go with their own interests. If this Pandem showed me nothing else, it's that.
