Hi, 

Could anyone share a website that has the "correct" subtitles for the Vincenzo episodes that people keep mentioning? So I can use that instead of Netflix for the future episodes.

Tbh, I’m not sure if anyone has bothered to resub the entire show since Netflix subbed it already just because of a few underwhelming translations ): I think most people are only pointing out subtitles they notice that are off because they know Korean - this is going to be the case for a majority of Korean dramas that are released and subbed on Netflix (including D.P. and Squid Game)

i’m pretty sure the netflix subs are based off of the english dub, so the translation is a less true to what’s actually being said in korean. english dubs always tries to change things to sound most “natural” in english, which in turn affects the subtitles on netflix for korean dramas. that being said, the translation isn’t horrible and won’t change the overall story, so you may as well just stick with it because no one has really bothered to re-subtitle it.

try kdramahood, there's not much ads and the quality is almost as good as netflix. dramacool is also a site that works that you can try

I'm watching the show with another reactor who's fluent and it's actually true that the subs are 70% wrong or completely made up at certain points, disrupting the flow and sometimes also make no actual sense. they're watching other dramas on netflix too and the subs from those are fine. in Vincenzo's case, it's true that they're pretty horrible compared to others tbh haha. I'm not fluent yet either, but i know enough that it seemed off to me compared to others I've seen on netflix You actually don't need new subs, if you wanna find the correct subs you just need to look for any site that has the episodes from netflix before they changed it. the subs that are off now are subs that were originally just closed captions (CC) that were added for the new dub that came out sometime after the show ended. originally the subs were fine, but at some point netflix started to remove the original subs and just made them the same as the CC

there's no alternative subs bc it wasn't needed in the beginning, they added the dub (and closed captions) after the show ended, but while it aired there were original subs that were accurate. but for some reason netflix decided to be a dick and made the eng subs the same as the CC and removed the original subs :/ for the correct subs, just google the show and watch it on any pirated site and they'll most likely have them
