I'm laughing. That actor you found familiar, he was the head doctor in Its Okay to not be Okay. The Director of the hospital XD

What a nice reaction. Thanks for this early Christmas treat. I was holding back my tears on the first part because I did not want to be all emotional while watching but when the vid showed the Philippines concert and their fanmeet in Korea i couldn't hold it anymore. I'm just glad i did not miss the chance to see them live together. I'm also happy that you genuinely like them. Thank you! 💕

Answers to questions you had: Bigbang was the first idol group from YGE (until 2NE1 in 2009, then Winner in 2014) - it was primarily a hip hop company which is why many YG artists have a strong hip hop base to their sound. Their teachers included legendary Korean hip hop artists like 1TYM (Teddy), Jinusean, and Masta Wu. The reason why iKON was eventually edited out of Heroes of Remix (Chinese EDM music show) was because of THAAD, a joint military system with the US. China retaliated against South Korea by blocking Korean media and entertainment acts like Kpop groups. VIXX and Monsta X were also on the show. June is a big Michael Jackson fanboy especially when he was younger. He actually participated in Kpop Star season 1 doing a Michael Jackson dance. He also joined YGE with the intention of dancing. Thank god they made him do vocal training. A lot of Kfans leave groups who don’t perform on Korean music, radio, and tv shows. They’re in a very saturated market now so they don’t have to search hard for content. It’s like how most Western music fans don’t usually look outside their own markets. Japan is actually the second biggest market for music in the world behind America. YGE artists do very well there which is why they spent so much time there. The opportunities for international promotions and large profits were cascading for them in 2016-2017. Concerts and merchandise are the big money makers. iKON also had a huge fan base before they even debuted because of WIN and Mix & Match so they didn’t concentrate solely on Korean promotions for the first few years like most groups do. This led to regular Korean Kpop fans forgetting them and anti fans were also really stirring the pot for the dissatisfied fans. YGE is also known for less heavy and fewer promotions/comebacks which is good for the artists but means they don’t take in new fans as regularly. It does eliminate the fair-weather fans who aren’t willing to be patient. Quality over quantity is what YGE group fans understand. Men who admit to listening to Kpop usually talk about girl groups but groups like Bigbang and iKON have a large percentage of male fans as well. Plus ballads or slow songs by a boy group are usually more heavily listened to by female listeners. The year end award shows usually go from December to early spring depending on the country or sponsor. Hope that gives some explanation or clarification for anyone who wants it. Thanks for reacting! Happy holidays!! 🎉🎁❤️
