Perfect Timing 😉

Why does it have to be when I’m at work and my internet is trash😫😭 Now I have to wait 4 more hours

Maya

I've heard of middle child syndrome where certain kids that aren't first or last borns feel neglected and act out in response. Idk if it'd apply to the assemblyman's son but im sure there's levels to it and how much it affects the person.

When I first watched this, it was the episode that had me crying 😭😭 especially the grab at his mums sleeping back 😭oh my heart broke for his young self

this episode provoked my emotions, mostly tears but I'll be fine, enjoying this kdrama so far. 😊

BaoziBang

The Zombie Kid story STILL makes me cry and i have seen this episode 5 Times! The empty Can scene hurt so much the first Time I watched it because similar things have been said to me in the past. I have BPD (Borderline) and you wouldn't believe what things people say when they find out or when I don't react like they expect to (when I don't react in a "normal" way...)

Sham Sham

“I don’t care if it’s green screen at least act like u care about your life”😂 and I had the same reaction when mom said the only reason she had gang-tae was so he could take care of his brother..I was like no momma! And if u could have seen my face when u asked who was watching them outside from the window😂 I went into full sip tea mode. Just wait Ant

I think one of the biggest reasons some of the messages and characters hit in this show was because at the time of watching, I was volunteering as a therapist at a psychiatric polyclinic for young people. I could connect a lot of the things the characters were experiencing and feeling with real clients I was encountering at work... It's really unfortunate that mental illness is still not looked upon by the general public the way it should be, and that in a lot of countries, the culture undermines it or feigns ignorance.

Yeah the flashback with his mum paired with the Zombie Kid story got me. Too sad. Also that empty can line is such a good line, I felt sorry for Mun-Yeong but then I was like whoever wrote that line I'm applauding them.

It gets more intense and interesting from here in my opinion. So many things to learn about all of them and how they're all connected!

Gang-tae's childhood kinda reminds me my childhood, as the first kid I always was the second mom, my mom was so strict with me and so soft with my little brothers, one time my brothers went to my uncle's house for a week, I stood home because of exams, my mom helped me with my studies for the first time and called me to sleep with her, she coddled me when we got to bed. And I thought the same thing " Waw mom is so warm" I still remember that first night as it was yesterday, it made me realize that I was just playing the good daughter to get my mom's attention and praises and I kinda of still acting the same because I'm so used to it.

Seo Yeji really is an amazing actress. She can bring any role to life. I was most impressed by her in the drama Save Me from 2017, it's one of my all-time favourites, and a big part of that is bc of how much personality she brings to the character. It's dark and twisted, but in the best possible way. Sadly I don't think a lot of people know of it, so this is just a small personal recommendation for any kdrama-watcher seeing this :) Have a nice day

Itami

The fact that she's writing these stories tells a lot about how she probably grew up herself as well which is really sad. I genuinely love all the storybook stuff they hve in this show. The stories are SO well-made, dark n touching

bitterfit

this show has such a big emphasis on parenting... like i think those are the scenes i've cried over the most. parents really can become the source of so much pain and trauma for children then we grow up harboring that trauma and not knowing that we display certain "negative" behaviors because of it

Estherlynn Lubin

Wow it’s was like I was watching for the first time again😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 the emotions in this show man.

Estherlynn Lubin

Good luck cuz it gets real from here on out. Oh and the reason why Teeny-Weeny(😂😂😂) said he realized his mom loves him is cuz it’s the first time she lashed out at him and hit him with such emotions. It shows that she cares about him. She said her heart ache whenever he goes through the mistreatments. It’s so sad to think that the mother can’t even stand up for the child but unfortunately that’s how it is in some household. Reputation is above familiar relationships.

freezenut

The way the fairytale books throughout the show tie in what various characters are going through using some really striking metaphors is just OOF GENIUS. Gangtae, Munyoung, and Teeny weeny (lol whyyy) all havent felt their parents’ warmth and it still affects them into adulthood. This episode was just a warm-up for the tears, stay hydrated y’all 😭😭

kdramas be having 15minute long scenes of ppl not paying attention to the road

Phani

Dude we were all tearing up at the end

I’m loving rewatching it with you Anthony! This drama is definitely one of my faves of all time and the emotions still present even in the second watch! Keep it up boss

no matter how many times I watched this ep, my emotions just come for me man 🙃

mssmercedes

I'm getting to this late but another great one. A big part of how I decide if any show is a real favourite is re-watchability and so far this is scoring high on that point it's just still so good. I dunno if it struck you but the scene where they pulled over the car and MY was yelling I love you was the scene Treasure was reenacting during that Star Road Ep. they put out real versions of the story books and I'm tempted to get Zombie Kid and one other even though they're in Korean, i guess I'd technically use them more than my few kpop albums just by looking at the illustrations lol.

anthonytoo

theres no late! i think the illustrations are awesome too, depending on the price and if i continue to love this drama i will also think about getting it -- i gotta save for my z flip ya feel me LOL

Rosie

the first 3 eps were kind of slow but it looks like this one has unfolded the story nicely looking forward to more!

Barbi Duarte

Don’t know if people told you this, but there are post credit scenes, usually explaining things further. You can still follow the story just fine without them, but I’m case you don’t want to miss anything

Chloe Borley-Evans

The emotions are just relentless through this lmaoo.. Can we also take a minute to appreciate Ye Jis absolutely stunning white outfit in this episode! One of my faves next to the short black fit from a previous episode and the iconic pink one we have yet to see ;) Simping hard for her wardrobe

Chloe

Ughhh this is one of my favourite episodes 😭😭😭 the first time I watched I cried so hard

Chloe

So glad you’re enjoying this drama tho 🥺 can’t wait for the next ep 😋😋
