V4: Redesigns (Patreon)

Second, late night post, wooo! Today, alongside a few comic pages, I did redesigns for Kneevil Gekneeus and Barrific News, the two puppets from volume 4! Please do not share this post, it is for patrons only!

If you've been following my Patreon for, like, years, or you just scrolled back really far, you might recognize these two! Barrific is the infamous and legendary "Barry puppet" that you may remember from that terrible creation I made several, several years ago.

Sometime last year, I did a redesign of the two of them with the concept idea that they would be made of different mismatched fabrics:

But ultimately I didn't really like this very much? It was a neat idea, but I just wasn't a big fan of it, so I didn't keep it.

In the new designs, Barrific is different in the way he's drawn, too, because he resembles preboot Barry more, and this is intentional - just like how Kneevil has a resemblance to preboot Uni with his head shape. This has a meaning in the volume's story! And no, it doesn't actually have to do with the preboot. You'll find out what I mean eventually!

Volume 4 is a weird, weird, bizarre and wild ride, but it's my favorite volume for a reason. 💖
