Something that I will not post about publicly for quite a while is the concept for the Sparkletoon: Barrycorn. This concept/idea has been floating around since the preboot days in 2017, an animated episode featuring Barry gaining a unicorn horn. The synopsis goes like this:

Uni finds a way to prove once and for all that magic is real to Barry: giving him the ability to use magic. But things don't go as planned, and Barry's newfound power goes to his head and he uses it for evil.

This idea had a lot of early developments, but recently I've been working on starting to animate again so this can become a reality! Right now I'm just doing sketch tests with voice actors from the crew, you can find the two I've done so far on my YouTube. And for those who've already seen those: this is why I'm making those. 😉 See, I even censored the title of this post, that's how secret this is!

This idea is really important to me, it channels a kind of energy that feels like my characters in a way that isn't so horribly depressing like the main comic tends to be. The Sparkletoon's events are not canon, which gives a lot of room for fun exciting things to show the audience. Giving the fans what they want, if you feel me.

The more this develops, the more I will share on here! By the time I start doing actual storyboarding I will post them on here, alongside other concept art!
