Mystery boxes with wires at 4:39 are the switching system for the organ. Since they have air lines in, they'll be electro-pneumatic.

I had them apart yesterday crazy little things. Would those have been retrofitted? Seems quite convoluted. Looking forward to trying those ones out

6:16 - this is a set of pilot valves. Making really big valves electrically is expensive and fussy, so we don't normally do it. This box has very small electrically actuated valves (phone wire is ubiquitous in organ work, that's typical) which exhaust the tubes beneath them to the outside air. Those tubes will be connected to larger pneumatics under large pipes, so when the tubes are exhausted the pressure in the wind chest itself collapses them and the pipe plays. Those conveyance tubes are lead, don't lick'em. ;)

Are those lead pipes original? As they are the same as telephone exchange pressure tubes. We had a theory the guy was a telecommunication guy as it’s all telecommunication stuff?

I don't know when the organ was originally built, but it's entirely possible the switching system is not original. There are lots of ways to build them, lots of organ builders spun their own, but they all operate on similar principles.

There's absolutely TONS of technological overlap between telephone switching tech and organ tech, in no small part because the father of the electric organ was Robert Hope-Jones, who started his career designing switching kit for The National Telephone Company.
