Summary: In an AU where Humanity misses their chance to find the Mars archive until after the current cycle has ended, they rise up to become the dominant race in the galaxy at the start of the new cycle. Meanwhile, Liara wasn't just caught in a force field, she was suspended in stasis. When super soldier John Shepard wakes her up, the last living Asari clings to this strange male, her instincts demanding that she begin repopulating her species right then and there.

Liara T’soni didn’t know how long it had been. It would have been nice to be able to say that she wasn’t aware, that it was like a blink between one moment and the next. But that… that simply wasn’t true. She was in a state of at least semi-awareness the entire time. Dreaming, mostly, not quite in her own head and thus able to stay sane.

Of course, this semi-awareness also made it impossible for the Asari Maiden to keep track of time. At first, it had merely been a Force Field that she’d been captured in. Dangerous to say the least, incredibly troubling as well… but Liara had had hopes for rescue. Unfortunately, the ones who had come for her had been dangerous mercenaries. They had also completely failed at securing her.

In the end, their attempts to free her so they could take her into custody for whatever nefarious purposes, only resulted in the Prothean Ruins responding defensively. She’d found herself dragged deeper into the facility, and though she was an expert on the Protheans, the voice that had rung out in their ancient, dead language had spoken too quickly for Liara to parse together. She’d gotten maybe one word in ten. Of course, that one word was ‘stasis’ so it wasn’t impossible for her to figure out what was happening.

There was nothing she could do about it though. She’d gone from trapped to completely locked down, frozen in time and stuck in that state of semi-awareness for… for who knew how long. Imprisoned and alone, she’d drifted in and out of some form of consciousness, spending lots of time just remembering things from her life, and in turn living in those memories.

Until, of course, everything changed. After existing in that state of quasi-helplessness for so long, the sudden end of her imprisonment was both a breath of fresh air, and startling in the extreme. She wasn’t ready, that was for sure. She wasn’t ready to suddenly be able to feel again, to be able to breathe on her own again, to be able to move and act and think again.

And yet… and yet, she thinks it might have been a very long time indeed, because what, or rather who she sees in front of her as she drops free of the stasis pod is not… anything or anyone that Liara recognizes. Much like an Asari, this alien is humanoid with two legs and five fingers on two hands. Their facial structures are undeniably similar as well, to the point of stretching incredulity.

But there are differences. For one, rather than tendrils on their head, the creature has head fur. Even more than that, the bodily structure makes it clear that it is a male, his broad shoulders and flat chest and strong form making it obvious that he’s not an Asari. But perhaps… perhaps an Asari descendant?

“H-How… h-how long?”

Cocking his head down at her, the alien man just blinks. Then he says something in response, before crouching down onto her level. Liara hadn’t even really noticed she’d fallen onto her hands and knees. When she does, however, she notices everything else. The level of sensation, the tactile feel of touching ground after hanging in a state of suspended animation for so, so long.

“C-Centuries, I imagine… perhaps millennia. I… have you truly never met my species before? Have we never crossed paths?”

It wasn’t like the world she’d been digging on was unknown to the Citadel. For a brand-new alien lifeform to be the one to discover her… it meant that something had happened to the Council. But that would be ludicrous, right? Except, for Liara T’Soni, Prothean extraordinaire, it wasn’t all that ludicrous at all. One of the last things she’d been postulating and theorizing before her nonconsensual trip into stasis had been the idea that the Protheans… that the Protheans were wiped out by something.

Putting together the pieces all too quickly, Liara chokes on a sob as she stares down at the ground.

“I’m the last one left…”

The alien male says something in his language, but of course, Liara does not understand his tongue. It’s not unpleasant to the ears, his deep baritone tone washing over her. But it doesn’t help her to know who he is, to know what he is and what he wants with her. But more important than that… is what she wants with him.

Looking up at him, really looking at this alien who found her for the first time, Liara swallows thickly. He looks… compatible. And she… if she truly is the last of her race, then there’s only one thing left to do, right? Asari as a whole were adaptable in the extreme. Even with only one of them left… their species could be reborn, through her.

And really, it would be solving two problems at once, right? A bit of intimacy and she would be well on her way to restarting her species while also learning the alien man’s language.

Reaching up hesitantly with shaking blue hands, Liara is gratified when he doesn’t pull away. He lets her place her hands on his face, watching her curiously as she lets out a hitched breath.

“E-Embrace… Embrace Eternity.”

Her eyes go black, and then she’s inside of him, and he’s inside of her. They both go stock still in that moment as they see one another, TRULY see one another. She sees who he is, and he sees who she is. They see what the other wants, what they desire more than anything… and a moment later, their lips are locked together in a ravenous kiss as they moan against one another.

If you’d told Commander John Shepard of N7 special forces that his first encounter with an alien race would be making out heatedly, he would have laughed in your face. After all, all the theories stated that any aliens they eventually discovered would be so inhuman as to be unattractive in the extreme. Well, those theories could be put to bed, because John’s new find was… smoking hot.

The blue alien woman does the equivalent of a mental blush at that thought, even as the two of them continue to mingle. His armor is flying off and so are her clothes, their physical forms wrestling on the ground, not for control or supremacy or anything like that, but simply out of a desire to begin fornicating as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, mentally they’re already practically having sex. It certainly feels just as intimate, the way John is sharing his life story with Liara and getting hers in turn. Heh, Liara. He knows her name now, and he hadn’t even noticed.

She’s right to think that she’s the last of her species. That’s one of the first things he can mentally confirm, even as they continue to lip lock and tongue wrestle, even as his cock comes out, hard and ready, and slips between her thighs. As he penetrates her, John feels Liara’s sorrow over the confirmation, even if she was already processing and coming to terms with it.

His species, humanity, had been traveling the stars for a few hundred years by this point. They had colonies on over a hundred worlds. They had even discovered Liara’s Citadel, which they’d named the Redoubt, and were even making use of the Mass Relay network, though they called Transfer Knives. The fact that they hadn’t met any of the many, many species in Liara’s memories was… worrying to say the least.

As far as John was concerned, when humanity had discovered the Redoubt and set up shop there, it had been abandoned, emptied. Just like when the Council Species had discovered it, all those millennia before, thinking it had been built by the Protheans. The fact that the Protheans might not have built ANY of it filtered from Liara’s thoughts to John’s, and was something he found quite alarming, even as they continued to embrace one another.

He was inside of her now, filling her with his cock, pistoning in and out of her. Liara’s desire for impregnation was clear, but while initially John had been recalcitrant, he was less so once she shared exactly how it worked for her species with him. Far from having some hybrid child that would be ostracized or experimented on, any babies Liara had would be as Asari as her… he was quite literally helping with the rebirth of a whole new species.

Even as John helps along, fucking into Liara and allowing her to copy his genetic makeup so she can reproduce off of this embrace of eternity, he expresses his doubt and concern that she’ll be able to save her race by herself. Liara assuages those worries by making her age and lifespan clearer however, causing John to express some shock.

Humanity had of course developed treatments that allowed for longer lifespans. Without the Council Laws to prevent them from exploring the furthest reaches of gene therapy, they’d been modifying themselves for centuries, playing god with no one to keep them in check. John himself was a super soldier, and while this shocked Liara, it didn’t tear them apart.

In truth, the knowledge that John would live for at least a couple hundred years thanks to the current gene therapies, rather than dying in a hundred or less under a normal human lifespan, was gratifying to hear for Liara. Every Asari had to get used to the friends they made in other races dying on them long before they passed themselves, but at least her savior would be around for a little while longer.

His cock surges forward into her at that, and the Asari Maiden gasps and squeals into his mouth, moaning as she takes him to the base again and again. Technically, the physical part wasn’t necessary. However, looking into John’s mind, Liara had been able to ascertain early on that it was considered essential to humans. In fact, she would get the purest form of John’s genetic material if she allowed him to cum inside of her, allowing her to reproduce faster than she would be able to otherwise.

Together, they were remaking a species. Together, they were taking the first step towards the rebirth of the Asari People. With that knowledge, with their minds and bodies intertwined and all but melded together, John spills his seed inside of Liara, and Liara enters a state of pure ecstasy as she feels him fill her, as her mind takes in the genetic makeup of his DNA.

The gene therapies that had made John so much more than he otherwise would have been… she can see them, can see how she might implement them into the first of what would likely be many, many children. Even as they physically and mentally pull away from one another, gasping and panting, Liara is already going to work.

“You didn’t actually need me, did you? You could have reproduced on your own.”

Smiling slightly at John’s words, now understanding English with ease, Liara shakes her head.

“I could have, but the result would have been… as you call it, incestuous? It would have almost certainly resulted in an Ardat-Yakshi, a common byproduct of pureblood Asari couplings…”

John nods knowingly for a moment, before realizing how he knows it. The depth of their embrace was a bit beyond the usual coupling between Asari and Non-Asari back in Liara’s time. Coming out of stasis like she had, potentially millennia of living a half-life of semi-awareness… she hadn’t exactly been in her right mind. But thanks to John, she was coming back to herself. Thanks to Commander Shepard, she was saved.

Feeling his cock still half lodged inside of her and feeling how he’s growing hard again thanks to her tight, clenching, creampied quim, Liara smiles as she lays back, offering her blue, beautiful body up to him in full.

“More genetic material will only help me in the revitalization of my species, Commander Shepard. If you truly want to be of assistance, I’m afraid you’re going to have to fuck me some more. As many times as you can manage, in fact.”

Looking down at her, his cock twitching and growing hard even faster inside of her, John reaches out and grabs her by her blue thighs. They’re no longer connected mentally, no longer embracing eternity, but they’d been in each other’s heads and that meant they were more than capable of reading between the lines. Grinning down at the beautiful alien he’s found, John begins to thrust again, enjoying the way her eyes roll in her head and her lips pucker up for a wanton moan.

“Fuck, I can’t believe you’re the first alien I came across. You’re just too perfect…”

There was certainly part of Liara that felt the same way. Now that she knew more about John Shepard and where he came from, now that she had a mental picture of what a female human looked like, there were honestly as many questions left behind as she’d gotten answers. Why were human women and Asari so damn similar? How had that happened? Based off of her own experiences with other space-faring races, it just didn’t make sense. From Turians to Volus, from Salarians to Elcor, the spread was massive. Asari had always been relatively unique as well… until now, until she’d discovered humanity.

It definitely gave Liara a lot more questions she wanted the answers to, and as a scientist, she would be seeking those answers… eventually. For now, though, the beautiful blue skinned Asari has found a new purpose, one that will likely take up a lot of her attention and focus for the foreseeable future. Wrapping her legs around Commander Shepard’s waist, looping her arms around his neck, the Asari Maiden gasps and moans as he plunges in and out of her.

“D-Don’t stop, Commander. Give it to me. Give me as much as you can!”

A grin flashes across John’s face, and he proceeds to do exactly that. Of course, Liara might have underestimated just how long a genetically enhanced human like John Shepard could go. He was modified to be a super soldier, after all… and with that came some incredible stamina. Still, she wasn’t lying… she was going to need all the genetic material she could get her hands on if she was going to start reproducing her species from scratch.

Buckets and buckets of John’s hot, sticky cum would certainly do the trick…

hopefully i am not the only one that thinks this but, can you try to make this a 3-5 part story where they wipe out the reapers with the knowledge of liara.

Hmm how soon after the Harvest has Humanity reached the stars? if Liara has been in Stasis for 5000 years then that gives Humanity 45,000 years to prepare for the Reapers I'd love to see this as a proper story rather than a one shot I wanna see Liara and Shep recreate the Asari species as a protectorate of Humanity and explore the Galaxy looking for a way to defeat the Reapers when they finally show up but they should have plenty of time for that since they have at least 45,000 years before the next harvest
