Monthly Update #4! (Patreon)
Content
Well, here we are now at the beginning of June, with May four days behind us. It's funny, because looking back at the last Monthly Update, I see that I said April was a big month for me.
It was... but not nearly as big as May turned out to be! I don't expect this sort of growth to last forever, but not only did we blow past the $400 goal shortly before I posted the last Monthly Update, we then went on to make it past the $600 goal as well.
And then, today, as of writing this post... we hit 200 Patrons. I'm admittedly a little overwhelmed. This is amazing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you for making my dream a reality these past four months. I can only hope I continue to deliver what's keeping you all interested and happy with paying me to read my writing. =)
We're definitely due to plateau eventually I imagine. But even if we do, at this point we're almost at a place I can call sustainable anyways. And that's thanks to you guys, my patrons.

Onto the other side of things, what's coming up next. In May, we did the three Novel Polls I wanted to get your guys' opinions on before I began my first original full length story. I now have the results of those polls to make the bare framework of my book with, and I hope to start in on said book soon.
That said, the book may have to take a back seat. In the worst case scenario, I may not be able to truly start it until July or August. The reasons for this are as follows:
1. I need to focus on Patron Requests and Commissions first and foremost. They are my primary source of income, and so long as I'm keeping up with them, I know I'm keeping the majority of you happy. I never intend to miss a day posting something on Patreon unless an emergency has struck, nor do I intend to get behind on my commissions and leave people waiting weeks or months for their pieces.
2. I'm taking college classes this summer. They start tomorrow officially (though I began them this weekend) and they last the next six weeks. It's only two courses, but it's still two full 3 unit classes jammed into six weeks instead of a three month semester. As a result, I imagine I'll be moving to complete some of that work whenever I finish my patreon/commission work for the day, instead of moving to start on the novel.
3. I want it to be good. I desperately want the vast majority of you to find something about this novel to enjoy, from the first chapter to the last. I'm going to be writing this thing, and then painstakingly going over it with a fine tooth comb looking for ways I can improve each chapter of it before ultimately posting it for you guys. If I can make something amazing and accessible, I'll be happy.
Those are the primary reasons for the novel's delay. Now, I've already made this a bit bigger than it really should be. I'll put a TL;DR below for you all =)
TL;DR: Thank you SO much for helping me get past the $600 goal as well as help me get to 200 patrons on Patreon! I look forward to continuing forward with you all for some time to come!
The original novel I'm planning on writing as the reward for the $400 goal may be delayed until July or August because I'm going to be fairly busy the next six weeks, and I do not intend to half-ass this writing project!
