Description

A mod to customize the Skybox (background) of Beat Saber. Sample images included.

Skybox

Place the Skybox (images) you want to load in the following folder.

(Beat Saber Dir)\UserData\NalulunaSkybox

The following images can be loaded with the extension png, jpg, or assetbundle.

- Panorama skybox (1 image)
- 6-sided skybox (set of 6 images: _Front, _Back, _Left, _Right, _Up, _Down)
- Cubemap (output as AssetBundle with extension assetbundle)
- Skybox material (output as an AssetBundle with the extension assetbundle)

Skybox can be found in the Unity asset store. There are also services that AI generate skybox, or if you have the environment, you can AI generate on your local PC. (Or, maybe able to use Ansel's 360 capture images?)

Configuration

Hide Platform Objects in Game : Hide song platform objects.

Select skybox in the middle list, Disabled means Skybox is not loaded.  You can set each skybox differently for the game (song play) and for the menu screen.

The screen on the right shows the settings for the currently selected skybox

Note

Just after adding a camera with Camera2 or CameraPlus, Skybox will not be applied to that camera; it will be applied when you press Reload on the NalulunaSkybox Settings screen, or go back to the menu after entering the song play, or restart the game.
