Changes for the 2nd anniversary in Patreon (Patreon)

Hello! The 2nd anniversary is coming faster than what I expected and I have some changes already in mind for Patreon. Last year the major change was renaming all tier levels, making a new one and adding one more reward to the already huge reward list. I have had so much fun working on this and I think we need something new to provide a better experience with this platform.

The first big change was announced some months ago in some minor comments at the bottom of some posts' descriptions. The thank you page for the digital sketchbook is being entirely redesigned. This means everyone is getting a new image of your character for the thank you page. The plan is releasing it after finishing July's sketchbook, which again will be a special edition with a selection of ideas from you and not a specific topic like the rest of the year (Freestyle #2 is coming!). BUT there's one thing about this: I can only draw characters from people who have already sent me their reference (I always message people asking for it after they start their pledges) AND people whose payment wasn't declined or flagged as fraud. Check your payment status or contact me to send me your reference!

The next big change includes all tiers and many rewards, and changes are as follows:

The next big change won't take place in July, but is scheduled for later this year. At some point, Patreon won't be updated as much as it does nowadays, but all rewards and exclusive access materials will be available in my website. This means, the funcionality will be exactly the same, but in a different platform. More updates about this coming later.

And lastly, several lovely fans have been asking for more slots for World Champion and World Legend tiers. I'm doing my best to reduce the workload outside Patreon as much as possible to be able to increase the amount of time I can spend on rewards. I'm still not sure when this will happen, but I have plans of adding two more slots to World Champion and one more to World Legend. I've been considering an additional tier above World Legend but since I don't really have any ideas for newer and better rewards yet, I can't offer that one now; and that might also result in not opening new slots for the World Champion or World Legend.

Please let me know what you think of these changes! None of the changes to the reward list above are effective yet and I wanted to tell you what I had in mind before actually making them effective. As for the higher tiers, the discount is now limited because in previous months it affected the ballance between income and time spent working. What I tried to do with this new rule is making the discount fully effective for the most popular illustration types (1 piece, 1 or 2 characters, any type; or 6 sticker packs). This is still a general rule, but I can consider other factors like character designs or background complexity to make these discounts fully valid even if the commission's price is above the price limit.
