WIP + tiny poll! (Patreon)

Hey there dear Patrons!

Hope you're enjoying June, wherever you are! I started working on a new bedroom set (I plan to release it in August), and I am kind of facing a texture conundrum. I've been using my own wood textures in my latest CC sets - meaning that I painted the wood textures myself. They are a bit more detailed and stylized compared to "true" maxis match textures, but I started to wonder whether they fit within the aesthetic of the maxis match objects.

I thought I'd share the two versions of one of my new objects side by side: version A uses Snowy Escape wood textures, and version B uses my own wood textures. Which one do you like more? I made some adjustments to the way I use my textures to make the contrast of lines a bit more subtle 😊

As a reminder, I will be releasing a smaller set of items in July - but I am so happy with the objects that I created for it. You can check out the preview of one of the items here. 

Oh, and another exciting thing happened - I am now part of the EA Creator Network! This in no way affects how I create and release my custom content - it will always remain free and public upon release 😊
