DMDave's 2023 Plan (Going Forward): Less is More (Patreon)
Content
Hey all!
Probably pretty nuts to share this on the last day of the month, but I want to share with you all that I plan on refocusing my efforts as a creator a bit. Since 2021, I've been focused on putting out a lot of content as quickly as possible, creating a massive database of adventures for you all to enjoy. After 85 or so Dungeons & Lairs, I can say confidently we accomplished that.
However, it's left me wanting something more.
Perhaps it was the OGL fiasco back in January, but part of me wants to get back to creating fun stuff, focusing more on tight products than whatever the "next big hit" will be.
Over the next few months, I'm going to focus mostly on creating content that doesn't necessarily fit a certain mold. It'll all be 5e, of course. But I might put out a single monster on a Tuesday, a random adventure on a Saturday, and might even occasionally go a week without a release (or even a poll, gasp!)
As always, I'll try to make what you guys want to see. I love your feedback; it always helps guide me in the right direction. But the big difference here is that I want to have full control of the content coming out of here again, which means I'll be the one writing, editing, and formatting the releases, with the only exception being the art (Rick and the Lazaros will very much still be my art crew). I love the work that the co-writers, editors, and so forth have done for me in the last couple of years, but I long for my "early days" again. I guess I'm getting nostalgic in my old age.
Anyways, just thought I'd share with you all what's on my mind. As far as tiers go, they'll stay relatively the same. And I'll make adjustments where necessary.
Let me know if you have any questions. And thanks all for your continued support!
