Hey all!

Thanks for voting in our last poll to help us decide our next monster lair. Looks like mimics won out, which means you'll be getting some sort of crazy mansion filled with mimics. Both oni and purple worms survived to the next round.

This post will decide the next *three* monster lairs that will follow those listed below. Pick the one that you like best. The top three get made and the rest get cut.

This poll will end in one week to give everyone plenty of time to vote.

Dave, do you think one could combine all the previously released Lairs in a "Dungeon of the Mad Mage" sort of design? With the fluctuating Level Ranges, and one can always change things to fit 1 level higher or lower, the levels seem covered easily. Just wondering about content. Would there be any sort of moderate cohesiveness? Thanks for my wandering idea

Speaking as someone who has DMed a few of them: no. The locations are too complete and disparate. That's actually a plus for those of us who use them as side quests: it's relatively easy to find one to fit pretty much any area/terrain type. But a handful are urban, a handful are underwater, a handful are in small towns, a handful in forests, etc. One could reasonably link 2-4 of them in the same environment, though even so I'd make them separate side quests or come up with my own additional narrative to link them. Sounds to me like what you actually want is Uncle Skeleton's Nightmare Tunnels, which is his big sprawling dungeon (5 sections published, from the Crimson Chambers to the Emerald Enclosure).

I didn't vote for them the first time, but the idea of spellcasting ogres is just too cool to pass up this time. Vote ONI

Oni are so weird in that their tactics are kinda all over the place. I think they're more fun as social encounters.
