So, am I the only one who keeps seeing "STL" and thinking "St. Louis". (Note: it's what you see on St. Louis Cardinals' caps. It's also our airport abbrevation.

virtuadept

So DMDave patreon folks don't get any of this content, even just the PDF?

dmdave

Good question. I'll speak with Arcane Minis and see if we can't release the PDF here. That should be okay.

Very disappointing DM Dave. This is just an ad.

Hi Mina, The Sordane Stories series is a project DMDave contributes to along with a number of other high-end artists, 3D modelers, and cartographers. We want the project to be successful, so we are letting people know it exists. If it is not something you are interested in, you are welcome to continue enjoying the regularly scheduled DMDave content which at this moment includes 12 free adventures and a back catalog of hundreds of monsters, player classes, and even more adventures. -The DMDave Team

Hi Virtuadept, Thanks for your interest in the Sordane Stories adventures! Because Sordane Stories is a separate project that DMDave contributes to but that is not part of Omeria and is contributed to by multiple artists, 3D modelers, and cartographers working in a setting originated by Arcane Minis the stories produced for the project will only be available on Patreon through the Arcane Minis account. If you would still like access to the Sordane Stories adventures, they're now available for one-time purchase through the DMDave store: https://dmdave.com/product/sordane-stories-wreck-of-the-pioneer-digital-asset-pack/ -The DMDave Team

I wholly agree. I'm a Patron of over a dozen creators and each post on the patron feed is paid content. DmDave, while I like his work, is the only one I get ads from, and emails for coupons for Broadsword. I get that it may be good business and I'm sure has a decent conversion rate, but personally, I don't like paying for something to be advertised to, especially on this platform. It's one thing to be on a willing mailing list, it's another to be a captive audience and be marketed to for cross-market reasons. This post is 100% just an ad, as a patron, I don't want to see a "cool project", even if its a collaboration, if my patron dollars give me no access to the thing.

Brigette Brinton

Just my 2 cents - I have no problem with limited cross posting to advertize kickstarters or other bigger projects even if I don't get anything at that specific moment as a patron. Totally fine IMO. The irritating part of this post for me is that it SEEMS like a normal group-project post where we would get access to part of the story - but we don't. :-)

virtuadept

Agreed, Brigette. A better way to do this would have been like Sept. 15th's post about the KS ads that actually had some demo PDF's and stuff. I certainly don't mind hearing about other Patreons and other projects. But seems like if they are going to take the time to advertise on other patreon pages, it would be something a bit more tangible. Like at least a demo. I saw this and said "neat" but didn't click because I don't want to join another monthly patreon at this time. If it had been a link to Roll20 version or something that is a one-time deal, maybe I would have clicked, the mini's certainly look cool.

Makes me wonder if there is a kickback revenue stream for this, otherwise why not make it look like the ad it is.
