Hey all!

Interested in seeing you guys' opinion on adventure length and synergy.

What type of adventures do you prefer? Do you prefer one-shots that you can throw into any setting? Or do you like longer, interconnected adventures?

This may help me decide where to focus my energies here on Patreon. I know one-shots are popular, but I also know people really like the longer stuff (like Hot8 and USNT).

Pick as many as you like.

I like long adventures with a great mix of hack/slash and puzzle/problem solving.

Location based dungeons -- open ended places you can explore with a variety of interesting things and a story told through the location.

We're currently at session 32 with our homebrew campaign and we've barely started the story :') Love every minute of it and everyone's abroad for 100+ sessions for sure, even continuing the same story or world events with new and new characters as our old ones gain what they wanted or die trying. I've played insanely fun oneshots, wild crossovers too but man, the magic (pun intended) of continuous development and growth of a single story is so goddamn cool to me.

Right now I’m looking for one shots, but eventually I’d like more of a campaign with 25 or more sessions.

I love 1-2 shots but take place in the same region so you can see the effects of other scenarios. For example a couple of adventures centered around a couple of villages.

I love one shots but would really love to see a full adventure path like the Shackled City

I prefer medium sized adventures.much like what we got in well sized Dungeon magazine adventure. Enough meat for the adventure to be remembered, but not an over arching story. It can be weaved in with other stories and possibly even a side quest or two.

Something along the lines of they came from beyond....It was long enough with enough for you to explore but short enough that it wouldnt take a year to finish. Some of the timings of the adventures are way off, not every group plays quick and concidse and makes tactical decisions on every little thing and plans it like a game of chess. Qua Soko (even though its unfinished) is a great lower level with a lot to do and so is Into Quabus, nice big maps with plenty to do without really having to travel here there and everywhere.

I like the interconnectedness of adventures like Kraken Beach Scavengers with They Came From Beyond. It allows me to mix a short adventure in between while keeping the thread consistent.

Unfortunately, that's part of Wizard's IP, so I can't write in Faerun unless I post on DMsGuild.
