Preparing for Day Job Freedom (aka Tentative Project Slate) (Patreon)
Content
Hey all!
I thought I might share with you the tentative slate for upcoming projects that I'll be tackling once I'm free of my day job.
More one-shot adventures
This are probably the easiest things for me to create (other than monsters) and seem to be the most popular, too.
Also, the Neverending Dungeon will be making its come back in the new form shared earlier. I understand this may frustrate some who liked the previous version, but the previous version had a huge design flaw that made it unsustainable.
Basically, a Golden Ratio problem.
The more and more I worked out from the original room, the harder and harder it became to add to it. For example, you start with room 1 and have three options to leave the room. Then I added those three other rooms and each of those rooms had 2-3 options, too. And then each of those rooms had 2-3 options. Because my pace is linear—but the growth is exponential—I wouldn't be able to give every section the love it needs. With the new version, your players can go in any direction they like. All you have to do is add a new tile or let them loop back on the one you started with. Furthermore, this method works better as one-shots since the individual tiles can exist in a vacuum, each one can have its own theme, etc.
Longer adventures
Uncle Skeleton's Nightmare Tunnels will be the first major adventure series I'll conquer, having it tied up hopefully by end of May for release in the June (or even the May) BroadSword. I will also sprinkle in a few Hot8 adventures in there, too, to keep the ball rolling on that.
Monsters of the Day
I hope to have these caught up almost immediately. The quarantine/End of the World™ kinda threw a wrench into things there.
Other content?
With an extra 40-50 hours per week to create content, I'm going to have a ton of time to make new stuff. You guys will be a big deciding factor in the content I create, so look forward to some polls coming out soon. For now, I don't want to promise anything that I'm not sure I can deliver (since it's a whole new schedule) but if you have suggestions, feel free to add it below.
Thanks all! Looking forward to this exciting new chapter of DM Dave on Patreon!
