Hey folks!

Many of us will likely be faced with long lockdowns, potentially 12 months or more. With these lockdowns will inevitably come unemployment and many of our wallets will take a hit.

I'm a writer. Monday through Friday, I write about Amazon and entrepreneurship at my day job with JungleScout, a software company that develops technology for Amazon sellers. And my evenings and weekends are spent creating the Fifth Edition content you're familiar with.

I'm no doctor or engineer. And although I read like a fiend and have a lot of professional skills, I don't even have a complete associate's degree (just 4 credits away, baby!). This means I'm non-essential and won't be able to help folks even though I really want to.

Still, if there's one thing I'm exceptionally good at, it's internet marketing, branding, and business. I hope this can be my contribution. Therefore, I was thinking I could host a few online classes or AMAs discussing how to build a brand and earn an income online.

Before I start putting time towards that, I just want to know whether or not this is something any of you would be interested in. I've set up this poll below to see what you all think.

Anyways, thanks everyone for the continued support. While these coming months won't be easy, we'll be sure to get through them together.

After all, dealing with adversity is what D&D nerds do best. ;)

Thank you all!

I became a patron for D&D stuff. If I wanted info on building an online brand I'd have signed up for someone offering that to begin with. If you're shifting your attention to do that then I'll likely drop my patronage. To be honest, you deliver a lot of amazing stuff, but I've not seen a lot of consistency and follow thru the last three months. Multiple HOT8 side quests from earlier chapters not done, never-ending dungeon abandoned, uncle skeleton nightmare tunnels forgotten, wiki gone cold, daily monsters no longer daily. If you're planning on diverting even more attention from everything else you've promised then I don't see how you'll have the time for all the stuff you're already juggling and falling behind on. I'm not trying to be mean, just honest in what I've seen the last few months. You're an amazing content creator and have a great imagination. But the only thing I wish for is for focusing on delivering what you've already promised.

Hey, that's a fair assessment. All I can say is that 1) I won't stop delivering and 2) if I can help folks out, I will. I understand that might not always fly with some folks and yeah... projects will bound to get dropped here and there. But with 1,000+ patrons, I have to do what's best for everyone. Focusing on stuff that doesn't move the needle doesn't make a whole lot of sense, especially when my time is limited. Would it help if I held a survey where to put my focus, picking only the things that people want the most?

As far as those projects, here's the state of things: 1) Hot8 won't stop. And I'll work on the side quests this week. They're pretty easy. 2) Neverending Dungeon just doesn't have the love that I wish it would. It's one of those things I want to do and love to do, but when only 10-20% of your audience wants it... it is what it is. Trust me, I could do NEd all day. 3) Uncle Skeleton got delayed just so I could get back to Hot8. It's already scheduled for completion in April. 4) Monsters are still on. But you'll have to excuse me, as Hot8 part 8 took up a TON of time last week and frankly, I've been really spun out since I went into Quarantine, so my focus is shite. 5) I don't create the wiki. That's created by Patrons. And I believe they're working on it.

Yeah, I did. I'm basically going to rank it. Looks like what I kind of expected to do best popped up with adventures leading the pack, then monsters ('cause they're easy). As far as content on ecommerce.. heh, ironically it's my day job to do just that. I'm trying to convince my direct supe we need to focus on more ways to do it cheap and easy, so if I'm going to be creating it anyways for work, I might as well share it. But yeah, I think I want to try to retract my efforts down to adventures (probably smaller ones), monsters, and then maybe like... "misc Fridays" where I create other stuff like NED, etc.

Hi Dave, I'm a NED fan. I just wanted to speak up since I don't recall a survey (I don't get as much time to read your posts and observe surveys as I would like). I know, I'm just one guy, but still... ;)
