In an effort to provide a complete campaign setting, the game rules found here are as concise as possible. In general, this 5e Marvelous Land of Oz campaign setting uses the same rules that Fifth Edition does. If you have questions about how an Oz rule works, you can usually find the answer there. You'll want, at the very least, a copy of the Fifth Edition core rulebooks.

This Oz campaign is based on the original books by L. Frank Baum and not the 1939 film. However, you are free to adjust the campaign to suit your own needs.

Note: this is the first version of the doc. From here, I'll host polls to determine what other elements you all would like added to it.

Human Variants - just define them as human nations, not as variants to a race. Classes - Give each class a variant feature that replaces one of their base ones. Also, I would suggest to consider limiting subclasses to subset of fitting ones. Equipment - creating an abstract system for acquiring items via quests is amazing and very fitting on the genre of the book. I would love you to expand it fully as a concept. Contacts (Friends) and Favors from NPCs such as the Good witch - rules for earning having contacts, earning friends via favors and gaining favors from friends. Few more magical items, naturally. Encounter Tables and Encounter rules for Wicked Witch and her minions - general encounter tables by region.

Cool. The trouble with subclasses is that each class only has one subclass each in the SRD, so I can't reference them (as much as I'd like to). What I'll probably do is take all these ideas and host a poll for what content should be added next.

This is absolutely awesome. You still have plans to release some version later in the stylized version you've shown before? I know the edits and additions are highest priority, but shoot I'd probably pay $30 for a styled hard copy! Absolutely can't wait to introduce DD skeptics to the game with this setting.

Haha thanks man! I’m probably going to add more to it this week
