Instead of saving for my kids' college, I make videos using the money I would have saved.

The thought is it will help educate the world as a whole, and one day generate enough revenue to pay for their education. Until then if you appreciate what you've learned in this video and the effort that went in to it, please SHARE THE VIDEO!

If you REALLY liked it, feel free to pitch a few dollars towards their college fund by clicking here:

Thanks for this video! I saw the news about the explosion today, and besides being depressed that we lost another rocket, I was also worried about the ISS. I couldn't help but wonder what the success rate for these missions is, and I'm happy to see it's pretty normal. (Although maybe we should talk to Japan for ideas!) Thanks for helping me work through the fact that things are basically normal, and we're doing really well despite the explosions.

the thumbnails makes me think of a rock concert, with the grass looking like audience, and the fire being some part of stage show.

Thanks Destin - I like your take on the failure that it is an opportunity to learn! As a teacher, I keep trying to impress on my students that failure is a part of success, not a character flaw. SpaceX has done so well, I guess it was their turn for a catastrophic vehicle failure so we don't think they have it all figured out!

What is also amazing is that the Dragon capsule was sending telemetry after the breakup. It was suggested that if it had been the manned Dragon 2 capsule on top of the Falcon the humans inside could have opened the parachute and survive the explosion.

I think what caught my attention most during the press conference was that it is classified as an FAA mishap.
