Recently sheared a starter tryin to start a helicopter here. I asked my crewchief to explain the purpose of it shearing but I couldn’t quite comprehend his explanation. Then you mentioned the shear-pin in this video to which my nearby friend said you had an earlier video explaining further the concept of this being a mechanical fuse. Your explanation helped me understand a bit more about this crazy contraption I often fly.

I guess I was too late for a Thinker and Doer T-shirt... (sad-smiley-face), couldn't find it on your site. Also, I'd love to hear more about the tractor as we are looking for a good unit to maintain our family spread in VT. The '54 NAA/Ford is a champ, but hard to get implements for these days.
