Hi all Patrons!

Today marks the Patreon Release of 1.3.1 for the Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D 4K texture pack! This update is a large sized update and includes over 100 new 4K textures covering several areas, with a particular focus on the starting area and the Swamp + surrounding zones, as well as a further improved user interface, more songs from the Re-Orchestrated Soundtrack project, fully automated installation of the Project Restoration mod + Re-orchestrated soundtrack and much more!

100+ New Textures!

This update includes over 100 new 4K textures, many of which are completely remade from scratch. This includes both environment textures like walls, tree trunks, mossy ground, plants and leaves and more. As well as many miscellaneous textures like doors, stained glass, torches, statues, bridges, fences, clay pots, Majora's Mask itself and much, much more. It all comes together really nicely and makes the whole pack feel a lot more polished and complete!

Other changes include improved MacOS support with included instructions on how to set it up! Full automation for MacOS and Linux just like on Windows is coming soon, too!

More songs from the Re-Orchestrated Project!

Like promised, over 10 more new re-orchestrated songs are now included! These include the middle boss theme, kotake and koume's theme, wagon to town, several sound effects like the item get sound effect and heart piece get sound effect, and of course the all mighty staff roll! More songs are coming soon in future updates, so stay tuned! And of course, if you just want to listen to the Re-Orchestrated soundtrack you can always find it on the most popular streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music etc.

Fully automated installation (and uninstallation) of both Project Restoration and the Re-Orchestrated Soundtrack!

This is a quite nice Q.O.L improvement! Thanks to user @Roshuan over on Discord, who made two incredibly useful batch scripts, you can now easily install or uninstall both the Project Restoration mod (Highly recommended, it improves A LOT of parts in Majora's Mask 3D and also vastly increases user friendlyness) as well as the Re-Orchestrated Soundtrack made by myself. Just double click the script in the corresponding folder (they are clearly labled) and type yes or no depending on what you want to do- the script will handle the rest. That's it, it's that easy! Scripts for MacOS and Linux are coming soon, too. If you see Roshuan around, you know who to thank for this! ;)

That's mostly it for this update. Enjoy!

The Update is available to all you Patrons here, with a public release in two weeks from when this post was published!

There is also a 4K version available, if your computer can handle it. It's a large file, over 9GB so beware of that before you download it!

Please feel free to try it out!

(Only available for the Citra 3DS emulator, the texture pack does not work on real 3DS consoles).

You can find more information about my HD texture pack here.

Watch the trailer if you haven't already!

Download it here!

I am only able to make things like this thanks to your support, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me do what I love!

The zips are last modified in June, is that right?

The dates displayed are incorrect! The .zip files were created in June, since I prepare updates weeks in advance and add new textures as they are completed gradually. But the files were indeed last modified only a few days ago on the 14th. I will re-upload the files to see if the date displays properly!

I've just gotten to Gannon's castle in OoT playing with your texture pack and it completely revitalizes the game for me. It brings back a lot of that giddy awe I had when I was a child playing these games.

I can't wait to play through MM now!

I’m very happy you got this done Henriko because I can finally make a let’s play series for this game on my YouTube channel! Come check me out on The Video Game Requester on YouTube!

Great job on this update. I'm really loving the reorchestrated soundtrack going along this game

Looks excellent, but those character models stick out like a sore thumb. They need some updating to look more inline with the environment! Besides that, everything seems well done and top notch!

Can confirm my ROM works for the current normal Citra Nightly build (1727) but not your custom exe Citra Nightly 1697, I obviously want to play with your preset/custom textures, but can't get past the opening scene where you get dragged away alongside Epona. The screen freezes, no audio, speed stops and frames go to zero. My ROM is US version and I successfully installed the restoration script (Has the chime on startup). Extremely frustrated, can this be looked into? Your work so far is incredible.

Hi! This is an issue caused by the Project Restoration mod, which you need to install the right version of for your version of the game. Try using either the built in Project Restoration installer / uninstaller script and install a different version until the game works like intended. The versions of the Project Restoration mod work with the following revisions of Majora's Mask 3D: v110 if you have MM3D 1.1 (game card with 1.1 preinstalled) v100 for MM3D 1.0 (non-updated eShop or non-updated 1.0 gamecard) v100 for MM3D 1.1 (updated eShop or updated 1.0 gamecard). Try v101 only if v100 doesn't work.

Found the fix after you pointed me in the right direction on Discord. Naturally, I then discovered someone else on #texture-pack-help with the same issue using the search function. I was installing Project Restoration Mod correctly, (with the awesome included script-installer) however I had to additionally install the 'HD HUD' portion manually, in-addition to. Right after that, it worked like a charm. It looks fantastic! Amazing work. The link for HD HUD I used: https://restoration.zora.re/hd-hud
