Update 2022-03-01: The download link has now been updated and should be working again!

Hi all Patrons!

This is the long awaited Q.O.L update for Pikmin 2 4K, bringing many conventient improvements to the pack for the first time! This includes new and improved 4K title screens, fixed the "some textures are not loading properly" glitch, a new standard / post processing edition selection, crash fixes during the start of the game, general bug fixes and more!

There are now two versions of the texture pack you get to select once you've downloaded it. One is the "Post Processing Edition", which includes all the post processing effects showcased in the trailer like ambient occlusion, tone mapping, bloom and more. The other version is the "Standard Edition" which doesn't include these features but has some other benefits instead.

The Post Processing Edition utilizes Ishiiruka Dolphin to achieve these features, has some graphical features implemented not available in regular Dolphin. It also requires Windows 7 or higher (not MacOS or Linux) and a dedicated graphics card. Both editions include a controller preset for common gamepads like the Xbox One controller! The standard edition version alleviates some minor Dolphin bugs present in Ishiiruka Dolphin (increased stability, for example) and supports MacOS & Linux, too! But does not support any of the graphical features listed above, like material maps or ambient occlusion. Both versions look stunning so if you're uncertain I recommend you play the standard version- or try out both and see which one you prefer!

Enjoy!

This update, 1.3.1, is available to all you Patrons here, with a public release in two weeks from when this post was published (in 1080p)!

There is also a 4K version available, if your computer can handle it! Please feel free to try it out!

Notice: The 4K version will look better than the 1080p version, even if you don't have a 4K display.

(Only available for the Ishiiruka Dolphin Emulator on PC or mobile (Android/iOS), the texture pack does not work on real Wii or Wii U consoles).

You can find more information about my HD texture pack here.

Read more information about the texture pack on my website!

Download it here!

I am only able to make things like this thanks to your support, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me do what I love!

Hello! This post is for a very old and outdated version of the pack and the download link is no longer being maintained for this version. I highly recommend that you get the latest 1.5.0 version from here instead; https://www.patreon.com/posts/pikmin-2-4k-pack-86734651

What the hell happened to your Pikmin 1 texture pack?

henrikomagnifico

It's still here! Link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/40696291 Major updates are coming to both Pikmin 4K and Pikmin 2 4K sooner than later, but at the moment I'm focusing on updating the Zelda, Mario and Luigi packs.

I just downloaded but the mentioned included instructions for running this on Android dont seem to be included? How do I compile the rom so I can run this on Android?

henrikomagnifico

Hi Jack! Running the pack on Android requires converting the DDS textures to PNG, so that Dolphin for Android can read the files. Unfortunately this process is quite confusing and time consuming, so I will do it for you and upload a PNG version here instead! This will take a couple hours. I hope this is ok with you!

henrikomagnifico

You can find the Android & iOS version in the same download link as the regular 4K and 1080p versions above!

henrikomagnifico

Unfortunately I do not, however I can compile an Android version for you to use if you would like!

I cannot, for the life of me, get this to work on a wii disc image, but the game runs just fine, and the texture pack works for gc. What am I doing wrong?

henrikomagnifico

Hi Samuel! The texture pack should work on the Wii version, and I just responded to your DM. Let me know if my suggestion worked for you!
