Little short loop that I decided to make between animations. I wanted to do something with transparent tentacles, and figured that having them be "water tentacles" was the obvious solution. There's a couple of experimental things here, too. First, there weren't any water simulations on the water itself; it's just a flat plane subdivided several times, and using the "dynamic paint" option to simulate waves.

Secondly, for this video I went with 24 frames per second (as opposed to the usual 30) to try and save on frames during render time. I was going to put this through DAIN-App to increase it to 48 fps, but DAIN was putting some awful compression on it and I couldn't quite figure out how to resolve that, so it's stayed at 24. I think it looks okay, though in the future I'll probably just stick with 30.

I also ran the sound effects through Audacity to add some reverb.

I'd like to take the "water tentacles" concept a bit further, too, and maybe see if there's any way that I can incorporate a fluid sim so that the tentacle can be constantly dripping. But, considering how much trouble I have with fluid sims, that may or may not happen. At the very least, I want the hyena to have some water pouring out of his mouth. The tentacle IS going pretty deep.

The although way through goal is pretty hot. Also, like the neck grab, feels rougher.
