PHEW! Finally managed to get this one finished, lol. I apologize for how long it's taken -- but, between the holidays and new years', plus this one throwing some curve-balls at me, finishing it was a pretty huge task.

Early on in the process, I made a pretty critical animation mistake which turned what should have been a pretty simple stage transition into an absolute nightmare. (Never, EVER rotate the root bone to put a character on their side, unless you plan to keep them that way for the whole animation, lol)

For the fluid I used a new technique, wherein I scaled up the entire scene x10 before baking, exporting/re-importing the fluid bake as an alembic file, and then scaling everything back down again. I always use real-world scale for my scenes, as it makes things like lighting/shadows look more correct, and I think it's just easier to know what the proper scale of things should be relative to each-other when you're using real-world measurements. But simulations, particularly fluid simulations, really bug out when you use smaller scales like that, and I've never been able to get fluid that doesn't look totally blocky and low res. Well, scaling up the scene has DEFINITELY helped, and I was even able to get a somewhat realistically-sized stream rather than the giant tubes of liquid I'm usually stuck with.

So, although it took a while, and certainly ended up taking way longer than I anticipated, I'm still pretty happy with it. I also did some work on post processing here, using an emitter to put some particles into the scene, some volumetric fog shining through the trees, and some compositing with bloom and subtle color correction.

That's all for now. Thanks for reading! :)
