Hey buns! I'm going to be distributing my Patreon rewards through password protected dropbox links from the start of next month. The dropbox folder will be filled with all the contents I make for a certain month, and links + password for the folder will be sent through Patreon DM's. I will of course post a teaser image directly here on Patreon to notify everyone when new content is released to the dropbox folder. I've seen other Patreon creators use dropbox links for their Patreons, too! So some of you might already be familiar with this process.

The content already on my Patreon will not be moved to dropbox.

BUT, I do need your feedback on it though. Please let me know how other Artists do this if they use the same method, or if you're heavily against this. I ALWAYS prioritize what my buns think first!!

Another important thing: I would like to implement a feature where Patreons can unlock one previous monthly package for each month they stay pledged. However, I need a swift way to do this without making the process  burdensome for the Patreon. Any buns have any ideas come to mind on how to execute this? All ideas are appreciated!

Thank you for reading!

Obsidian

I personally find them a bit annoying... BUT the safety of your art is more important so whichever option makes you feel more comfortable, I'm good with :D

I wish I had advice, but I'm just here to ask what tiers the Dropbox is available for?

imaBunBun

Dropbox is for all content for all tiers! Spesific links will be sent to each tier where a map includes what’s available to them.

I pretty much mirror obsidian. Not a huge fan of drop box but waddayagunnado. Keep rocking on.

Using Dropbox definitely will be a little more of a hassle and somewhat annoying sometimes but I totally understand that you wanna protect your amazing art which of course has the highest priority, so I'm all good with that change! One artist I've pledged to uses a similar method, but the password for the Dropbox gets updated through patreon posts and the Dropbox is basically one big Dropbox featuring all the content without being split into months.

I would do that! But unfortunately that leaves a much higher risk of everything being downloaded and re uploaded :( Also I just want to know why can Dropbox be a hassle from a Patreons POV? Just so I understand!

In my experience at least Dropbox was always kinda weird when I wanted to access it on mobile, and also it was sometimes plain confusing on where to find what, though that probably is just an issue with the organization and not using Dropbox itself! So I often waited until I got home to look at the patreon stuff with my PC because there it worked with no issues, which is what I mean when I say hassle. Though that may very well just have been a me problem, in any case that's my experience with it

Okay! Thank you, I’ll make sure to organize it well at the very least
