At Leana's funeral, the whole family gets together, but there's no support for anyone there o.o They all hate each other! Rhaenyra gets close to Daemon once again (and way more than before), Aemond bonds with a dragon, then loses an eye to his nephew (yes, Jace is his nephew...I know that's confusing) and Alicent wants an eye in exchange...the whole family is at each other's throats and Rhaenyra starts fighting back.

Did you realise the soundtrack that played towards the end of Aemond flying Vhagar for the first time is the same soundtrack as Daenerys flying Drogon for the first time from the fighting pit in Meereen.

I love how my girl Rhaenyra finally went on offensive mode this episode, since she has Daemon back on her side. Yes Rhaenyra's parenting and boys put Allicents to shame, apart from Helaena who Allicent also thinks is weird. Jace & Luke defending their cousins Baela & Rhaena was so sweet & respectful. Whereas Aemond was fine being cruel, hateful to all the kids including grieving girls who did nothing to him until he got nasty. The good kids already sticking together & bonding was great even when they ganged up on Aemond, he was asking for it & causing real harm. Allicent words have made her kids this way, yet she tried twisting it saying Lucerys tried to murder him when she has no idea what happened yet, just the end results. Both Daemon and Rhaenyra lost their partners to fire, they both mourning. They've always belonged together, love how open & trusting they are with one another. Glad u see how Rhaenyra had no choice but to choose someone else to make heirs with. However we can't expect her to just sleep with someone who has similar hair colour, she trusted Harwin & had a relationship with him. Helaena btw is definitely a dreamer Targaryen like Viserys wanted to be. Helaena actually foretold Aemond losing a eye to get a dragon. Allicent told Aemond in ep 6 "You will have a dragon one day" and then Helaena said in the background "He'll have to lose an eye"... I disagree about it being all the kids fault, Aemond started it and hit Baela, Rhaenyra's boys only defended the girls and then got threathened death like Harwin, so of course Jace got out his knife to defend sweet baby Luke whos half Aemonds size. Luc slashed Aemonds eye out because Jace had took a blow to the head from the rock & defended his big bro and cousins very bravely id say. He didn't enjoy it and has a broken nose, poor thing doesn't deserve anymore punishment & already understands the consequences. Aemond was the only kid smirking after the whole fight. Allicents hateful words & bad parenting caused this mess, along with all that jealously & passing on all Ottos teachings to her kids. I've also believed and saw Allicents desire for Daemon back before they switched actresses. Allicent was so horrified and upset about her brother being messed up by Daemon in ep 1, yet as soon as he came up asking for her favour, she got all happy. Then after giving him her favour and she sits down before jousting begins and is all excited about it, encouraging Rhaenyra to applaud so excitedly for Daemon too, just like she was doing. Plus again in ep 4 Allicent seemed extremely jealous about the rumours of Daemon & Rhaenyra f*cking. Visery, Coryls and even Daemon dont care about who fathered Rhaenyra's boys, because they're Rhaenyra's & family regardless. The king decides whos what and yes Rhaenyra will always be his favourite, shes the reminder of his beloved queen Aemma & the only child he concieved with love not duty to be fair. Of course Rhaenyra is bringing up the vile insults, because she has to protect her boys, especially since it's only the green making a big deal out of it. Rhaenyra has been trying to make peace and extended an olive branch to Allicent last ep, only to reject her. I'm very shocked u believed that Rhaenyra would be capable of cold blooded murder lol, especially to Laenor who she loves and has grown up with. I knew it was a plan to set him free as soon as Daemon mentioned places across the narrow sea, where it doesn't matter what a mans name is. Plus if you keep listening to Daemrya's conversation, it's clear they're only faking his death "we shall know the truth of it"... I was hoping you would realise it was all fake before it show bald Laenor. Rhaenyra really has set Laenor free, she knew how unhappy he would be staying here, as her husband and stuck with his duties, he was desperate to be back at sea & free to be with his love. Vhagar is a female btw.

My second favorite episode of the season so I might have a lot to say lol. I'll start with the scene of Alicent's kids where Aemond and Aegon II talked about Helaena, and that Aegon II and her were betrothed by Alicent. Many people talk about this and say that Alicent was a hypocrite because she had judged Rhaenyra and Damon in the past, but I don't think her vision has changed, she only betrothed them when Otto cam back, and I don't think this is a conscience at all, Since in the past he even tried to betrothal Aegon II to Rrhanyra (also in the books was Visery's who betrothed Aegon II and Helaene). Skipping to Rhaenyra and Daemon's scene. One word. Ew. I hate their relationship not because of just well, incest, but because is a clear case of grooming, I don't believe Daemon's intentions were ever in the right place and completely agree in Rhaeny's that "Daemon's only does what is best for Daemon." Going to Aemond claming Vaegar, adorable, and a fun fact is that they shoot the scene of Aemond talking to Vaegar in one time and Aemond and flying scene 6 months later, one of my favorites scenes of the show. Aemond coming back and the fight scence. My opinion on this is usually different from most people, I'm completely in Aemond's side, a dragon is not a object to be passed by, and she had accepted Aemond as a her new rider, and Rhaena had not claim to her at all. Also Aemond did not start the fight, Rhaena was the first to come to him, and in the end he was defending himself against 4 kids, 3 his size, he did took to far but I get where he came from. Alicent out burst, I get her too. Her son had lost an eye and Rhaenyra and Viserys lack of care for that was incredible. Rhaenyra wanting him, her brother and a child to be sharply questioned for saying some everyone knew it was true just after her son cut his eye out was not right, and Viserys not once seeming worry about his son, not only once asking him how he felt and just straight up going to make him questions that he knew the answers to but liked to keep a blind is to make any mother furious. Viserys never cared for any of Alicent's kids, even though he made her have them, Alicent has the right to be angry, to furious about it, she was used and in the end it seemed to be for nothing. And once aga Viserys would just do as he always did, nothing, I'm not saying Luke deserved to loose his eye as punishment, in that Alicent took to far, but he needed to be punished still, he had stabbed another boy in the eye after all. Alicent and Rhaenyra's scene (my favorite of the show), again I hate how people usually ignore every word Alicent says even though not a single one was a lie, it was everything that she had kept in her chest. "What have I done but what was expected of me? Forever upholding the kingdom, the family, the law. While you flout all to do as you please. Where is duty? Where is sacrifice? and now you take my son's eye, and eveb that you feel entilled." Not a word spoken was a lie, she followed what was expected of her, serving and caring for Viserys while birthing his children, she sacrificed all for him, for her father, and for what people expected of her while Rhaenyra did as she always did, as she pleased, and in the moment she never tried to apologize for her sons action, she felt entitled to her son taking Aemond's eye out. While Rhaenyra's "Hiding beneath the cloak of your own righteousness. But now they see you as you are." Was pure hypocrisy, she is the one to do that everyday, lying about her sons true father, lying to Alicent about what truly happened, if Alicent is no good neither is Rhaenyra, and I do believe that, they are literally two side of a coin. People say Alicent anger was only towards Rhaenyra and not because her son had lost an eye and I totally disagree, Alicent was never that violent before, she hated violence, and untill this episode she was never like that and after she showed true remorse. I hate how people say she doesn't love or care for her kids, she loves them, but she did failed Aegon II, in my analise I think she sees him as the end of her adolescence, her innocence, with him everything changed and she couldn't turn back, she was a mother and still only a teen (she had him while she was 15y.o). While with Aemond she does show her love and care for him very well, I like to say he's a mama's boy lol, and Helaena she is her dearest love but I think Alicent just doesn't know how to connect with her, she is a different child and I don't know how to put in words but I think she sees herself a lot in her daughter and this turn things difficult to her as well. Alicent and Otto, hate him, I hope he does every day, it hurts me how Alicent truly thinks he's doing what is best for her and the kids, but why wouldn't she if even Otto himself think that. Also I have started making edits which made me pay more attention little details like, Alicent still picks her fingers, she just hides better now, probably because she's now queen, but in key scenes while looking at her hands you can see she's always almost picking on her fingers. (Grest detail from Olivia, Alicent's actress, she was part of the people who wrote and build Alicent's background to the show.) Rhaenyra and Daemon marriege not much to say just, damn... Couldn't even wait a month after his wife death or Laenor's (I know he's not dead but every one think so and probably now see them as his murders.)
