I actually understand Kyubey now and don't hate him as much. Like you said it comes down to informed sacrifice.

And you are 100% right about the cute opening. I would say the same about the characters because the show is way to dark for them to be so young. The teacher trying to work out her relationship issues were the only thing that made me smile.
