So we just met Pandora...who we're not sure is a Witch because as far as we knew, all the witches had been killed by Satella...but then her immense power can only be explained by her being a Witch D: WHAT IS GOING ON!?!?! XD And we finally learned how Petelgeuse became Sloth and just like we thought, it's super tragic T.T

I took it as Echidna created Beatrice so for all intents and purposes thats how Beatrice regards her. Echidna's a witch with insatiable thirst for knowledge in a search for immortality. It's not a stretch that at any point she experimented with spirits trying to manufacture greater spirits. Don't know if its revealed in any writings but my theory is that Echidna is why Fortuna becomes Puck, and that's why Beatrice interacts with ............... him (just occured to me that I always assumed Puck was male, and can't recall if they ever actually specify) more like a doting older sister.
