Yes another hard heartbreaking episode. I really love how as a narrative, Steins Gate keeps its stakes personal and its very small scaled. Sure, we have the overall problem of changing the future.. but thats more in the background or is the backdrop for the actual story and central conflicts which is about the characters we've come to love. Saving Mayuri is the main conflict, and even now with Suzuha added into the mix the main point of the episode wasn't about failure to change the future.. it was about Suzuha herself and even Daru suffering silently from the consequences of their actions and how Okabe made the hard choice to undo their close relationship built over the past few episodes. Real good stuff here. Emotional character drama mixed together with the plot.
