Man, sometimes, the characters on this show can make very dumb decisions D: Going against Gus is NEVER a good idea!!!! The only one I could see surviving a direct confrontation right now, would be Lalo! He seems in control of a lot of things o.o Unlike Jimmy who lost it for a minute there D:

The ironic thing is Jimmy actually was sincere in this interview. If someone who betrayed you in a big way was originally an inspiration for you, it would be sincere to not mention them as an inspiration. Chuck never supported Jimmy becoming a lawyer, and its made clear in Season 1 when we got the flashback of Chuck's reaction to Jimmy passing the bar - he immediately made sure to have Howard let Jimmy know he can't join the firm. Chuck straight-up asked Jimmy if he was joking about passing the bar.

And remember his words about Jimmy in Season 3, where he revealed his true feelings since they were children. Chuck was jealous and spiteful of Jimmy way before he got his condition. And of course, Chuck's final words to Jimmy was about how he doesn't care for him - which is not true, Chuck does have some love and care for his brother, but its the kind of patronising love where he almost sees him like a child rather than an adult. Because of all this I think its understandable that Jimmy is as bitter about Chuck as he is. Ideally he would be the bigger person and move on from that, but to be looked down on for so long and learn the truth about someone you love never really had your back for multiple decades is a scar that doesn't heal so easily.

Another thing - Jimmy accusing Kim of thinking of him as only Slippin Jimmy is a reminder of what Chuck said to him in Season 1 when Jimmy first found out about what Chuck did. "I know you, I know what you are, what you were, people don't change. You're Slippin Jimmy!". And the part where Jimmy thinks Kim sees him as being the kind of lawyer guilty people hire is another callback to Season 1 where Betsy Kettleman tells him that. That whole argument was Jimmy pushing his insecurities about himself onto the image Kim has of him, even though that isn't how she sees him.
