Hah! Lowe tried to make it sound like a Pirates of The Caribbean style key-stealing jailbreak had occurred 🤣

Jefferson County sheriff was on Live PD for a while. The problem is jails are huge money makers with little oversight. You could be in a county jail for not paying fines up to murder (while awaiting trial). No one deserves to be assaulted while in jail, but it happens every single day - inmate to inmate, inmate to CO, & CO to inmate. The jails are short staffed and overworked and until that is corrected, nothing will change. There was an episode of Bull where a non supervisor CO was left in charge of an entire prison by himself during a storm. He ended up leaving to go check on his wife & kid. While he was gone, 2 inmates drowned from flooding. Only the one CO was charged. Ultimately, the responsibility falls to the owner of the jail, the warden and all the way down. Unfortunately, not all CO’s get a proper training and are paid minimum wage and end up physically assaulted during the course of their jobs.
