I was able to implement the spell casting portion, as well as update the rest of the casting to be a little more efficient.
For the tl;dr, by holding the spell cast button, time will slow down, and a reticle will appear. As you aim at things, contextual options will come up. For example, aiming at enemies gives you the option to charm them, or use the push spell on them, while aiming at objects like barrels gives you the option to grab them, or use the push spell on them.
Right now the options are pretty bare boned, but the system works. In the future I'll pretty it up a bit.
How it looks (not pretty, but functional)
This also saw a change to how teleport works as well. Now, if you press the button at any time, it will teleport in the direction you're moving, or if you're standing still, it will teleport you backwards.
If you hold the spell cast button down, and try to teleport, it will give you the option to aim the teleport. Hopefully players can use this to reposition themselves easier in combat.
