July 16th Weekly Update (Patreon)

While there are certainly a lot of assets I want to make on my own, there are quite a few environmental assets I've found that fit really well, so of course I want to use those as well.
For Example, I came across a great grass pack that is super efficient compared to the other ones I've tried, and the ones I've made myself!
Doing so however comes with its own challenges, for example, I spent a few days this week, tweaking several different asset packs to use the same wind parameters, so I can control the wind direction and force on them all at once.
I've also set up a few materials to allow vertex painting, and some materials that will allow me to dynamically add things like moss to an existing asset.
This log I made, for example, will always have moss on the top, no matter how you rotate it.
This mud lets me vertex paint puddles, or I can define them with a mask.
I need to focus on getting some good ground textures, next. I will continue to do that and build new assets. I really think we're gonna have a pretty game!
I'm super excited about how things are starting to look, and I hope to make it look even better!
As always I'd love to hear any questions, comments, suggestions, etc!
