Hey everyone, since I started working on the sprites for the Conscript monster, I figured out I'd share with you some behind the scene peek, and explain a bit how I draw the whole thing. 


Spriting monsters is probably the most tedious part of making this game, as I have to draw the same thing again and again with just slight modifications. 

These are the "faces" of a standing monster. For those who don't know, each graphic will show on the monster entity depending on where the player stands from it, emulating a 3D model, but with 2D drawings. I personally love sprites and find them way more interesting than 3D models, as they are more in touch with art and communicating motion/emotion with pretty restricted means.

After this, I have to take each of these 5 rotations and make a walking, attacking and pain animation, a process which I am also going to give you a peek into.
