General Update (Patreon)

You might have noticed that I didn't post anything last week, and I figured it might be time to explain what's going on before I get right back on track.
This year has been kind of a mess and on top of me picking up two projects, one of which essentially required to learn a lot of new skills from 0, there were two additional factors that really slowed me down - the impending economic crisis and the war happening right next door.
Since I like being prepared, these 2 major chaos factors have really messed up my schedule, as I had to take action and learn a whole new slew of things in order to prepare for both economic collapse as well as the war potentially spreading here.
In order to make games I need to be alive and in a relatively stable environment, and therefore I think that the time I'm investing in prepping is for the ultimate benefit of the projects you're supporting.
The trade-off is that I'm really slow, and what's worse - really distracted. Sketching imsim tier maps is something that requires extreme amounts of focus and inspiration and I'm starting to doubt that I will manage to fully sketch out Haggard's levels by the end of this year as I was planning.
Nonetheless, I will still be working on them to my best ability. I always pointed out how vital the sketching phase is, because it really builds the skeleton of the game and it's better to slow down and be precise now than spend time fixing a poorly made structure and filling plot holes later.
In any case, it is times like these when you realize that your true worth is really whatever assets and skills you have on you, and of course, your community- so I have to say, I am once again very grateful for your support, and I'll do my best to deliver!
