Hey guys, with RD2021 coming soon, I figured out I'd work on the trailer now, so after two days of work here's the first draft.

NOTE: There will be some narration in the intro part, the music will not have vocals and the text screens will have some animation/effect to them. Keeping this in mind, do you guys have any feedback for it sp far? :^)

Aside from the fact that I can't wait for Bloodrite to be released and I'm definitely gonna be looking into that awesome band in the meantime, I have one tiny suggestion - or rather just some food for thought: The trailer is already great in its first draft and it shows off a lot of what's awesome about Hedon (like the majestic level design, interactivity with the environments and action gameplay). But I feel like whenever I read negative reviews of the first episode/game, people always point out how they expected nonstop action and were "bored" by the slower and more atmospheric sections or overwhelmed by the item hunting and more intricate interactions with the environment. The trailer already showcases the level of interactivity with the cannon and the detonator sequences and I think together with the atmospheric beginning, this gives a good indication of the variety we can expect from Bloodrite. I'm just worried that some people might focus on the action-packed ending and then they'll write disappointed reviews when (or rather "if") Bloodrite features similar tonal dynamics to the first game. Perhaps you could add one or two more short sequences showing non-combat interactions in the combat-heavy later part of the trailer without necessarily killing the pacing?

Oh, and one REALLY tiny thing: In the end, when the gameplay dissolves to show the title, my eyes were immediately drawn to the Fragfire ammo pickup messages in the upper left corner, when they should be focusing on Zan and the title. I think that's because the text feels kinda out of place for a few second when the artwork starts to come in. Maybe you could have these messages disappear more quickly? Or maybe that's just me :D

Zan the Bonebreaker

Yeah I know what you're talking about, and it's always been a pain in the ass to represent every side of Hedon in a single trailer. I also wish I would have shown a bit of the new RPG edge but I haven't figured out a way to integrate it smoothly. For the atmospheric side of the game I am banking on the introduction part, but outside of that, there's not much I can do.
