This week I worked on some weapon "clean-up."

After taking a break from testing the old stuff, I've noticed that some issues suddenly stick out like a sore thumb once I get back to it, so I decided to literally take every weapon apart and brush it up.

This mainly involved some code clean up, but on the visible side, I polished some animation jank for the Hatchet & Shield, Spike Gun and Crushbow (namely how firing them would interfere with the movement bobbing) which should now make them feel a lot smoother.
I've also increased the size of the Potion Launcher on the HUD (as it felt a bit too small compared to the other weapons) and polished the firing animation while at it.

I decided to reintroduce the colored powerup screen for the Fire Hammer since most people seem oblivious to the fire protection buff it gives, and I also tweaked the crosshair graphics.

The Force Pike has a smaller (invisible) projectile for the Force Pull alt fire, and while this means being able to use it next to corners and such, it also requires more accuracy to connect with monsters.

For the other weapons I mostly cleaned up code and did some optimizations with the new stuff I've learned.

I'm planning to work on a new Bearzerk weapon next, and after that I'll ease into Map13. Stay tuned!
