The Acolyte (Patreon)

New monster which will be introduced in E2M2, the Acolyte is a variant of the Initiate. By comparison they are slightly taller and slimmer, and have pink/purple decals on their robes.

They have a Mind Blast attack dealing Magic damage. The amount of damage is the same as the Initiate's Harm spell but this one completely bypasses the player's armor and is incredibly fast (not quite hitscan but close). It also takes about a second and half to charge up, providing an ample telegraph time which is doubled by an audio cue - so all in all the player has a fair chance to react.

They also have around 15% less health than an Initiate, allowing the player to one shot them with a regular kick, and sometimes kill them quicker with the Spike Gun.
