Phew. Never thought I'd get to see them done.


So due to GZDoom's nature of handling crouching, I had to make some compromises and reduce the crouch-movement animation to a single set of sprites showing Zan unarmed. Same goes for the stationary ones, and if the player shoots a ranged weapon, the sprite will change to Zan and the Crushbow, but for Fist and Axe attack, the standing attack version will play instead (which kinda makes sense considering who the hell attacks in melee while crouched?)

There's also a pain animation for crouching for whatever reason :^) (could have just done the same and use the standing pain instead).

As for the swimming, since the player will never be able to see anything but Zan's back with chasecam on, the other rotations are absolutely not necessary, since there's like no mirrors and stuff underwater.


Anyway, damn, it's finally done. This was a ride. Next I will start working on the first living friendly NPC, which will give more sense to why I spent so much effort to fully sprite Zan out.
