I have two updates regarding my workflow in the upcoming month:
1) I've recently upgraded the engine (GZDoom 3.1.0), and this new version has turned some features (namely dynamic lights) unrecognizable the level design program I'm using (GZDoom Builder). What's worse is that GZDoom Builder's creator left development, so the people around the community have been making some updates to it, out of which none seem to work properly for me right now. So I have to wait it out, and as usual, ask around so I can start making progress again.

2) Project turn in dates are coming, and my time for Hedon has been severely reduced. Hopefully, it will only last few weeks before I can get on a game dev-ing burnout again.

On a brighter side, though, I present you the rough sketch and a slightly more detailed layout of the second level of the game, "Plaza."

Much like "Cold Rock", I have first laid this level out on paper, an essential step into organizing the outline and layout of the map, and making sure that there is solid a gameplay thread (objectives, steps, etc.) going on.

What you see is a series of larger caves separated by gates that form the main area of Valc - Iron Division's mountain stronghold. A lot of buildings too. All of them demanding new textures, sprites and so on.

I do however believe it will take me a lot less time to release it for testing than it took me for the first level, because I got a lot of backbone stuff done, so the skeleton of the game is growing pretty solid. Stay tuned~

P.S. Sorry for the photo quality, I tried to edit them as well as I could, but the first had some horrible orange light which I couldn't fix entirely.
