In Japanese animation production, it is common for animators and directors to design the characters and objects that will appear in the episode.

He designed his own material in the episodes he was in charge of.  Bombs, and "mobs" other than the main characters. In fact, it is sometimes easier for the director to work that way. However, this is only if you have the time...

This is his feedback (修正/shousei) on layout in the episode as drawing director. The content that he wanted was very high level. He wrote that "This shot is used 望遠レンズ/telescope lens further than usual " under the shot number C-272.
