I just don't think he's funny anymore. BUT I agree that Happy Gilmore/Billy Madison are classics. I would throw Wedding Singer on that list too.

Born in 91 and I can safely say I grew up with the same sandler, just maybe sans SNL besides the greatest hits. Me and my friends shared the sandler albums and watched all the movies and revered them the same way yall described. Just saying i think my generation still has that fondness you describe and if there's a bitterness for his new stuff its not from lack of exposure. Great double!!
