I haven’t listened yet, but I must say that I was always STOKED when I’d find a chicken and noodles in the MRE box. Best meal in there. Mix it together into a vomit-looking slop and it’s GREAT.

Great episode. Both my parents were in the military, and my dad was in for the switchover to MREs in the early 80s. We had MREs a couple of times in camping trips growing up, and I remember him saying “if you think these are bad then I can assure you Vietnam era C rations are much, much worse.” . I am a veteran of the war in Afghanistan and I was in country about a year after they got bin laden. I was about 50 miles from the border of Pakistan. I was an Infantryman, but I deployed with combat engineers. For 9 months, I ate MREs every day at least once because we were out doing route clearance and looking for IEDs. I love that they are trying these lol. Some of them are actually pretty good, but most of them are trash. I loved this episode and Mitch...get me in the next military-style movie you are in. I can teach you everything I know.
